Rarely found double teardrop earrings w/silver accents added to the gold in this pair of gorgeous Damascene earrings created by inlaying the precious metals in resin covered metal, generally 18k gold over steel. Unusual & exceedingly intricate design w/a decidedly art deco appeal instead of the more commonly found bird & florals. These are clip-ons w/a fine, delicate mechanism & are formed w/a bit of depth, concave in back. Both are stamped Spain & believed to originate from Toledo. An amazing estate sale find, apparently never worn, that will impress collectors, make an excellent start or addition to any fine jewelry repertoire or a unique gift to yourself or a loved one.
