The Widefoot Liter Cage is a great option if you're looking to carry around a Nalgene bottle or maybe something like one of those big glass Topo Chicos or a fine wine. The Liter Cage fits anything that has a 3.5" outer diameter. Their 7-Slot positioning system allows you to mount these cages on 2 and 3 bolt boss setups on your fork, downtube, seat tube, or wherever you've got em. You can also use the 7-Slot system to mount them lower on your bosses if you've got a smaller frame triangle, or want to keep it low on your fork, or away from the front tire when on the bottom of the downtube.
These cages all have a tough powder coat finish, but will inevitably show a bit of wear over time where the bottles touch.
If you're hitting the really rough stuff or running one of those giant half gallon nalgenes it may be wise to run a Voile strap wrapped around the bottle.
