The Vortex Radian Ball Head has independent pan and tension control. The ball head can tilt in any direction at angles up to 45° or down to 90° in either of the two notches. Independent knobs control the ball angle tension, a lock of the ball, and the lock/tension of the panning motion. The mount system uses an ARCA-SWISS head mount complete with a matching quick release plate. The head sits on a short center column with a counterweight hook on the bottom for adding weight if necessary in adverse conditions.
