This is a wonderful piece of Bakelite. It is a thick and round brooch. The face of the Bakelite is simply carved and accented with a brass center. It has been set into a brass setting and then a silver plated bar pin with a roll over clasp was attached on top of that. Between the two metals are three small metal discs which gives added height to the brooch. The back portion of the brass setting shows age and wear. I have left the patina on the brass and silver plated backings. The Bakelite is 1 7/8” around and is 1/4” thick.
