The New US Army ECWCS Generation III (GEN III) refers to a system composed of 7 types of tops and 5 types of bottoms that can handle various climates and situations.
This Level 7 is the final layer of cold weather outerwear, and PrimaLoft is used as the inner layer. It is a high-tech material using polyester, which is said to be about 8 times warmer than down.
The main feature is that, unlike down wear, there are no feathers flying out, and it does not require much care. It can be washed in a washing machine, and it is lightweight and has a soft texture.
If the waterproof and breathable properties are reduced due to dirt, the function will be restored by washing.
