Union Explorer 2025

The 2025 Union Explorer bindings were designed to stand out in a crowd of overly stiff, uncomfortable splitboard bindings and be just as comfortable as your normal snowboard bindings. With a focus on natural board feel and flex, the durable construction is attributed to less moving parts and focuses more on simplicity of installation and comfort under foot. Baseplate:

SP2 Duraflex CB

The SP2 Duraflex CB base which comprises of Duraflex blended with Carbon, making it lighter and considerably stiffer than a typical baseplate.

Highback: 

EXP2 Duraflex ST

These highbacks have been designed specifically for touring, featuring an all new adjustable split forward lean adjuster that changes from tour to ride mode in an instant.

Buckles: 

Magnesium 3.0 with Aluminium Base

A construction process completely unique to Union allows them to make their ratchets out of Magnesium, resulting in a product that is 4 times stronger than aluminium while being half the weight. Not only that, it's easily recycled so the environment benefits too.

Straps: 

Exoframe 4.0 Ankle Strap + TS 2.0 w/Pin Toe Strap

The Exoframe 4.0 and TS 2.0 w/Pin straps, which provide the security and comfort you'd expect in a high end split binding but with reduced weight, materials, and a better boot to binding connection with none of the elastic stretching found in regular straps. While the 2.0 w/Pin toe strap offer multi-positional options with the anti-slip toe material, designed to fit any boot.

Cushioning:

Thermoformed EVA

These EVA bushings are shock absorbing, durable, and provide a true and even board flex. The gas pedal on this baseplate is non-stick and sheds water and snow to prevent ice buildup under your boots.

Additional Features:

Extruded 3D Aluminium Heelcups:

This heelcup increased the stiffness of the binding, increases response, and is adjustable to help you dial in the perfect fit.

Split 2.0 Forward Lean Adjuster:

A fast and easy forward lean adjuster that can quickly switch from touring to ride mode. Made with upgraded materials for improved durability and an easier transition.

Grade 8.8 Hardware:

Union ensure their hardware is reliable by using the strongest steel available on the market.
