Two Spot Wrasse

The Two Spot Wrasse (Cheilinus bimaculatus) is a vibrant, active saltwater fish prized for reef and fish-only aquariums. Named for the distinctive dark spots on its body, this wrasse displays brilliant coloration ranging from blue and green to orange and red as it matures. Hardy and engaging, the Two Spot Wrasse thrives in established tanks with plenty of live rock for hiding and foraging. It feeds on small crustaceans, mollusks, and prepared foods, making it an excellent choice for controlling unwanted pests in your aquarium. This species is generally reef-safe with caution around very small ornamental shrimp. Best kept singly or in pairs in tanks of 75 gallons or larger, the Two Spot Wrasse brings dynamic movement and personality to any saltwater setup.
