Atlantis is approaching a critical juncture in history. The modern metropolis is moving steadily toward the abyss. Political corruption is no longer an isolated phenomenon but a systemic feature, and the devilish Mayor Diennisus has maintained a firm grip on the city for over a decade.But then an unexpected newcomer makes his entrance. The psychedelic takes the city by storm, the citizens being all too eager to escape their oppressive day-to-day reality. But Dexter, one of Liam’s collaborators, has other plans. When a fellow student dies under mysterious circumstances, Dexter frames Liam for the crime. Liam is imprisoned for three months.While incarcerated, he meets a man calling himself Jefferson Trickstelson—Trickster—who reveals that Liam’s role in the upheaval is not yet over. Upon his release, Liam sets out to carry out instructions whose full implications he does not yet understand.As political authority erodes and the forces unleashed by the Rainbow Pill spiral beyond anyone’s control, Liam is forced toward a decision that will determine whether Trickster’s influence remains symbolic—or becomes fully real. At the same time, Elsa Lodekin, Liam’s love interest, is drawn into the unfolding events and is tasked by Trickster with protecting Liam as the city edges toward open revolt. Read more
