The Stone and the Dream

A methyx stone, has been stolen by a corrupted mage who dreams of destroying the world of Ghoral. To prevent this from happening, Saphyria, a young cryomancer of the Chroma, an eldritch order of magi, embarks on a journey in an attempt to recruit mighty heroes to track down the rogue. But those approached with the venture have their own desires to pursue. Jerrim Blood, bearer of the greatsword of the God of War, driven nearly insane by his tortured history, seeks his long-denied birthright and a semblance of peace of mind ... Luthian Vayle, descended from the chosen one of the Divine and suffering from delusions of grandeur concerning his own future, strives to prove that he is worthy of grace, glory and power ... Though the fate of the world may hang in the balance, Jerrim and Luthian choose to follow their own paths, leading them into danger, darkness and despair, each joined by unexpected companions - Siana Fae, a psychomancer whose love for Jerrim could destroy her, and her daughter Kitian, whose innocence will be torn away; Shandirde, one of the last of the dragons, bound in human-form for millennia, the guileful pirate captain Mojo Walker and his sister Mojito, and Lady Jubei, an elven assassin well-versed in deception. Jerrim becomes a prisoner to a tyrannical king, a mother whose past is as traumatic as Jerrim's own, and, eventually, a creature of ancient evil. Luthian sets sail for the legendary Sunspire to embrace what he feels is his holy destiny, but is lost in a city drowned in the depths of the sea. And all the while, the rogue mage, Annubesus, finalizes his plans for his war on the world, hoping to bring his vision of destruction to fiery, devastating reality. It is the Age of Dreams in Ghoral ... but all dreams must come to an end.
