The Initiation

Meredith Tover is fighting to prove herself after just graduating from her warrior training. In Meredith’s world, aliens and human live amongst one another, usually in harmony, but some of the alien race sees humans as weak, inferior creatures that can be toyed with and destroyed. The Moneavians killed her mother when Meredith was only a child, so she began training to protect innocent people from cast-off Moneavians, like the ones that killed her mom. That’s why Meredith and her fellow warriors, are trained to handle the alien race known as Moneavians. The warriors go through rigorous training and after graduation, they must lead around a new recruit that is looking to start warrior training, this post-graduation tradition is known as trainee day, it tests the abilities of new graduates to see if they can keep innocent lives safe while subduing a rogue Moneavian. Meredith and her trainee are over-seen by an experienced warrior, Raider, who is sarcastic, witty, and very narcissistic. Raider leads Meredith and their trainee into the depths of the shadow region, a deserted area made from the ruins of the old IO headquarters. The tunnels of the shadow region are filled with criminal Moneavians and humans alike, led by a man seeking revenge on someone that Meredith thinks she knows well; her father. Will Meredith find the answers to the death of her mother? Can the three escape the shadows, with the help of an alien/human hybrid? What does this man of the shadows want with The President?
