The Tetra Test GH Water Test Kit is a simple to use testing kit for determining GH levels in freshwater aquariums and ponds. The Tetra GH Test Kit provides an accurate, easy to use way for determining GH levels.
Overall general hardness is determined by the concentration of various salts, such as calcium and magnesium, in the pond or aquarium water. It has a direct influence on the well being of fish, plants and micro organisms. An overall hardness value of between 6 and 16 dH is suitable for most ornamental fish.
Application:
Tetra Test General Hardness (GH) is a simple to use kit for determining GH levels. It is a liquid kit, which works by changing the colour of a water sample in relation to the GH concentration. You simply need to count the number of drops it takes to turn the water sample from red to green, to determine the GH level. Tetra recommend testing for GH once a week in soft water areas, and once every 2-3 weeks in hard water areas. Always read the instructions carefully before use.
This test kit is compatible with the Tetra Digital Water Test App available for most smart phones and tablets. Once you have tested the water, the app will suggest the appropriate product. Simply download the free app!
