Despite this being her debut album, Tawiah is somewhat of a trailblazer in the world of alt-soul. Long-established in the UK music scene for her self releases as well as high-profile collaborations with Cinematic Orchestra, Blood Orange, Mark Ronson, Cee-Lo, she additionally championed by the likes of Gilles Peterson and The Guardian.
