Taronja Paper Mache Table Lamp

Paper mache table lamp Taronja is a fruit of collaboration between Crea-Re Studio and the designer Manex Bilbao.

The shape of this side table lamp is inspired by the texture of orange fruit and the similar texture of paper pulp. The main inspiration of the project – as Manex explains – comes from the relationship between the orange tree that produces the orange as fruit, and paper mache, whose origin also comes from the tree. Therefore, the lines and shapes of this design are based on organic and natural profiles, similar to those of a tree, with its crown and trunk and the texture of the orange peel, which we obtained with paper mache. 

Material

Handcrafted from pulped newspapers, water based, cellulosic glue and natural earth pigments. All these components, as well as the process of vase formation, are environmentally friendly and ecologic. Moreover the table lamp is very lightweight, durable and covered with a protection layer against humidity.

Textile cable colour and LED bulbs:

This paper mache table lamp is available with Cotton White cable (2 m). Moreover you should use only LED bulbs up to 20W hence the bulb is not included. This lamp requires a bulb with an E27 ending.
