This is a low counter stool, STOL 24, initially designed by Philippe Starck in 2001. This particular example dates to 2025. The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) asked Starck and Emeco to create a simple, minimalist stool for a Mies van der Rohe retrospective in New York, and STOL 24 was born. The lower height makes it ideal for standard kitchen islands and counters.
The stool is comprised from thermal treated recycled aluminum, and it has been highly-polished to a chrome-like finish.
The stool measures 14 inches deep, 14 inches wide, and 24 inches high. The stool has a small black mark under its seat. Overall, the stool is in very good condition. Please see photos.
