The Brome Squirrel Buster Plus Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder features a truly squirrel proof design. Openings in the feeder base typically align with open seed ports allowing birds to access the feed, but when red and grey squirrels or large birds try to feed, the feeder base quickly drops to close access to the seed ports. Squirrels and large birds are prevented from feeding without being harmed in any way. The weight sensitive spring mechanism is completely adjustable to exclude different types of birds and squirrels. Simply remove the feeder cap and twist the transparent cartridge clockwise to increase the weight setting and counter-clockwise to decrease the weight setting. A handy chart comparing the weights of common birds and squirrels is included to use as a guide when adjusting the spring closing mechanism.

This feeder has six feeding stations, adjustable perches with posi-grip, and an included posi-grip cardinal ring. The cardinal ring perch offers cardinals a secure grip while they feed. The Squirrel Buster Plus has a unique seed ventilation system that circulates air through the seed to keep it dry and fresh. The feeder assembly can be dismantled by hand for cleaning. To fill the feeder, simply fill the feed tube with up to 3 quarts of seed, align one of the dimples in the green feeder cap with the yellow dot on the feeder reservoir, press down on the cap, and rotate the cap 90 degrees to lock it in place. The feeder base and cap are made of rustproof, green powder coated aluminum. The clear feeder reservoir is made of UV Stabilized polycarbonate plastic.
