This is a Square Side or End Table featuring a polished stainless-steel base and a teak wood top, designed by Davis Allen and Gordon Bunshaft under SOM in the 1960s. SOM, as it is known, refers to the architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. During the mid to late 20th century, they were prolific in transforming corporate interiors in both the USA and internationally. They would often design their own furniture for various projects with their in-house interiors team, and this is one such design.
This table measures 18 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 19 inches high. The metal base shows some light patina and some scuffs, and the teak top has some scratches. There is a small chip to the teak veneer on one corner, and some discoloration to the wood finish. Overall, this table is in very good condition. Please see photos.
