Sodium Metabisulphite (Na₂S₂O₅) 100 g
Sodium Metabisulphite is a sanitizer and preservative created to prevent microbial and oxidation spoilage in wine, cider and sometimes beer.
- Sanitizing equipment and wine bottles
- Eliminate chlorine
- Preserve and inhibit oxidation however sodium is undesired by most wine makers and Potasium Metabisulphite is generally prefered for this.
Sanitising solution dosage: Dissolve 50 grams (8 tsp) into 4 L of cold water. Rinse equipment and allow to drip dry for 10 mins. Solution can be used over 2 months. Beware that Na₂S₂O₅ will corrode metal.
