Slate mulch is our best-selling product for pathways, borders, and large landscaped areas. The flat fragments with irregular angles create a natural texture that suits both contemporary and traditional gardens. The gray color turns deep black when wet, a visual effect that changes after every rain.
These slate chips last indefinitely, unlike organic mulches that decompose. Their flat shape makes walking easier and prevents movement underfoot, while round gravel rolls easily. Used to stabilize paths, define flower beds, cover areas under decks, or surround mature trees.
Rake from time to time to redistribute the chips. Slate keeps its appearance without requiring annual replacement.
