Founding member of the Schindelhauer family

First presented at Eurobike 2009, Siegfried caused a sensation with its untreated Alu-Pur frame. Siegfried laid the foundation for the defining Schindelhauer look. Over the years, Siegfried has been reworked in some details, making it even more long-lasting. The curved fork, the Brooks leather applications and the polished components have always been retained for an elegant-minimalist overall appearance.

A special drive

Enjoy the agility and effortless control pinpoint handling offers plus the ability to switch easily from fixed gear to freewheel with a flip-flop hub. The Gates Carbon Drive CDX CenterTrack belt offers a quiet, lightweight and maintenance-free alternative to the traditional chain.

Fixed-gear or single speed

Thanks to a second sprocket, you can simply take off the wheel, flip it over to switch between freewheeling and engaging a gear anytime. The aim was to design a stiff wheel that could stand up to the rigours of tough everyday use.

Premium Alfine components

The Shimano Alfine crankset and the belt drive system make an excellent combination - at the same time, as a visual highlight, it decisively shapes the character of the bike.

Seamlessly integrated technologies

Siegfried is designed from the ground up for the Gates Carbon Drive to make the most of all the advantages of the drive system. Innovative technologies such as the Schindelhauer Belt Port and the Crocodile tensioning system are seamlessly integrated to consistently maintain the purist design.

Aluminium frame

Stable, robust and yet a true lightweight - the frame is made of high-quality 6061 aluminium. The smoothed weld seams using the "flat-welding" process are a visual highlight.

Patented Belt Port

The patented Belt Port, an almost invisible opening at the dropout, makes it very easy to change the belt drive.

Crocodile-belt-tensioning-system

The belt drive needs to be kept under tension, a job performed by our patented crocodile-belt-tensioning-system. With a simple turn of the spanner washer, the axis is freely adjustable and the belt can be prestressed.

Rakishly elegant cockpit

High-quality leather features and silver-polished components reveal the clear character traits: Siegfried is truly a classic sportsman. The clean cockpit is synonymous with the always elegant appearance.

Ergonomically designed for a comfortable grip and an upright cycling position, the Schindelhauer Moon handlebars will let you enjoy casual touring all the more.

Brooks - bar tape

Soft, smooth and made of perforated leather that’s breathable and lightweight, this bar tape will make you enjoy your two-wheel adventures all the more.

Tange Seiki integrated headset

We’ve fully integrated the Tange cartridge bearing, so it accentuates the head tube. Seamless joints around the bicycle fork and stem area lend a flawless finish, creating the impression that the bike is cast from one piece of metal.
