Speed. Insane levels of speed is what the SB120 is all about. 

The 120 rear travel suspension platform, with updated Switch infinity system, makes for brutally efficient power delivery on the climbs and accelerating out of corners. Do not focus too much on the numbers though, this bike absolutely rips downhill and you would have to hit some of planet earths most gnarly features to come anywhere near this bikes limit.

The SB120 is the evolution of the SB115, which captured the heart of the mountain biking world as the premium choice for fast trail/XC riding. The concept of the SB120 further leans into the trail world with that bump in travel as well as slightly more aggressive geometry numbers. Still fast but that little more versatile.

As is the norm with Yeti bikes the suspension has undergone extensive testing and refinement, A relatively linear progression curve gives riders usable, active travel at 30% sag – a far greater margin than other 120mm travel bikes. The SB120’s small bump compliance delivers incredible traction. Its supportive mid-stroke ensures riders don’t blow through travel when pushing against the suspension in turns or when getting the wheels off the ground. Rowdy moments are handled with ease as the curve has been tuned with increased bottom-out control.

An all new ultra-compact, minimalist, 1-piece shock extender was designed specifically for the demands of the shorter travel SB120. It optimizes leverage rate while pushing the shock forward in the frame. This forward positioning allows for a large range of shock compatibility, decreases stand over height, reduces shock tab sizes, increases water bottle compatibility, and increases downtube clearance

You will also find handy quality of life features such as a universal derailleur hanger, threaded bottom bracket and new internal cable routing ports

SWITCH INFINITY - 

Switch Infinity utilizes a patented translating pivot that switches direction as the bike moves through its travel. This provides a tailored anti-squat curve while delivering a fine-tuned leverage ratio

Switch Infinity decouples chain forces from suspension forces incredibly effectively. In the beginning and mid-section of travel – when Switch Infinity moves up – a relatively flat and high anti-squat curve ­creates an efficient pedalling platform through the entire pedalling zone. As a result, suspension performs consistently and predictably. When Switch Infinity reverses direction, anti-squat drastically drops for freedom of suspension movement
