Whether you have 40 years of woodworking experience or 40 hours, those tiny lines on rules and tapes can be difficult to see and even more difficult to transfer accurately to your work. The Woodpeckers Saddle T-Square improves your layout accuracy with three unique features – a series of holes to guide your pencil, an edge that wraps around your work and a high-contrast laser-engraved scale. These three great features are packed into tools that easily drop in your shop apron or carpenter jeans pocket, so you’re always ready for precision layout work.
The Saddle T-Square has an array of holes perforating the center of the blade. The holes are perfectly spaced 1/32" apart and are sized for the tip of a mechanical pencil. Laying down a line parallel to the edge of your stock is as simple as finding the hole you want, dropping in a pencil and sliding the square along the edge.
Rather than struggling to re-align a square to transfer a mark from the face to the edge, the Saddle T-Square lets you do it in one fluid motion. The 3/4" deep reference edge is machined perfectly in line with the scale edge.
When you do need the scale, you’ll never find one easier to read than the scale on the Saddle T-Square. The aluminum body is anodized in Woodpeckers Red with the laser-engraved scale in bright white, making it much easier to see, even in poor lighting conditions. It also has 30-degree beveled edges which puts the calibrations down on top of your work, eliminating parallax viewing errors.
Woodpeckers Saddle T-Squares are milled from one solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum. Every edge is chamfered, making the tool comfortable to work with and easy to hold. Even the tiny pencil holes have beveled edges to guide your pencil tip in place. The red anodized surface not only looks great, it reduces friction with your work.
Like all Woodpeckers products, the Saddle T-Square is proudly machined and carefully inspected in the Strongsville, OH facility, just south of Cleveland.
