Rig Descender

The RIG descender is designed to meet the needs of experienced rope access technicians who work on rope every day. Featuring an ergonomic handle that provides excellent descent control, this compact and easy-to-use descender makes the workday easier.

The AUTO-LOCK function allows users to easily position themselves at a workstation without manual operation. With increased durability, the shape of the cam limits wear.

For intensive use and demanding work conditions, or simply for a long-lasting solution, the RIG is also available in a repairable version.

Description

• Opening side plate: Moving side plate can be opened while the device remains connected to the harness, making it easier to pass intermediate anchors.
• AUTO-LOCK system: Allows users to position themselves at a workstation without manipulating the handle or tying off the device.
• Storage position: Handle automatically switches to storage position when the rope is removed, reducing the risk of accidental snagging when carried on the harness.

Versatility

• Two descent modes: Use with the rope running over the side plate or in the V-shaped friction channel for better descent control and reduced rope kinking.
• Multiple connection options: Can be used connected to the harness or to an anchor.
• Short ascents: Once the rope is blocked, it is possible to ascend in short spurts without manipulating the handle by simply pulling the rope through the device.
• Lead belay use: Can be used to belay a lead with techniques used in climbing.

Durability

• Reinforced friction zone: Helps prevent premature wear on the moving side plate.
• Cam shape: Improves rope pinching and limits wear on the device.
• Repairable option: Repairable versions allow the cam and pin to be replaced using the repair kit, sold separately.
