Description: This is a great peaceful herbivore for a freshwater planted tank. They cannot be mixed with any nippy/aggressive/predatory fish or crustaceans (including loaches, puffers, crabs or crayfish etc.). They are primarily algae eaters, but will happily feed on sinking algae pellets as well as blanched veggies. They are extremely sensitive to water parameters, so good filtration/regular maintenance is required, but caution should also be taken to avoid sudden drastic changes in pH or temperature.
