This piece of White Howlite has a smooth and polished face. All the other sides are left natural and raw. White howlite is white with gray streaks all over, coming from different directions all over this stone.
White Howlite is also referred as Magnesite. Howlite is said to represent the spiritual qualities of being still, keeping an open mind, and tenderness of the heart. This stone was originally named after Henry How, a Canadian chemist, geologist, and mineralogist who discovered this stone in the year 1868 in Nova Scotia.
Howlite is best known for imitating other gemstones. Due to its porous body structure, it absorbs dye very well.
