A composite sea kayak that's genuinely at home in the surf is a rare thing, and the Aries 155 earns that distinction through smart hull design rather than compromise. Built on the bones of P&H's celebrated Delphin, the Aries refines that planing hull concept in advanced composite construction, resulting in a boat that's as capable threading rock gardens and riding waves as it is on a loaded coastal expedition.

The wide planing hull with smooth chines delivers a stable, forgiving platform in conditions where other kayaks get squirrelly. Pronounced rocker and a high-volume bow work together to prevent purling in the surf and help the bow resurface quickly in turbulent water, while the set-back cockpit keeps you in control all the way to shore. The squared-off stern extends the waterline for tracking and speed on flatter days, and lifts the bow when a wave picks you up.

Off the water, the Aries 155 holds its own as a capable short to mid-length expedition composite sea kayak. The low rear deck keeps rolling and re-entry accessible, the paddle shaft recess supports controlled entries, and full deck lines and elastics handle the rest. Available in five layups, with the Ultralight starting at 42 lb.
