Peter Som's Beach Line Has a French Twist
"I'm a beach bum and a Francophile," says designer Peter Som, whose new St. Barts–inspired capsule collection of maxi-dresses, nautical-striped rompers, and tropical-print shifts makes you immediately feel like a beach gamine. The designer travels regularly to the Caribbean island, renting a villa, lounging on Gouverneur Beach, and strolling the village of Gustavia. "I wanted to capture its laid-back, relaxed sensibility along with the innate French sophistication," he says.
