Persicaria Praetermissa

Common Name: Persicaria Praetermissum, Polygonum sp.

Persicaria praetermissa is a unique, fast-growing stem like plant that can be added to emersed sections of your aquascape. Alternatively, it works very well in paludariums given its marginal growth in the wild. However, this plant can be grown submerged in an aquarium and will take on an entirely new look. Watch its color change from green to a mixture of red brown tones. A good option for aquarium hobbyists in search of a unique plant that can be planted many different ways.

Like many other stem plants, providing medium to high light with the addition of CO2 will improve health and growth.

Notes: 

• Do not make drastic changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters will result in melt and rotting of the aquarium plant.
