Panda Angelfish
A distinctive line bred form of the common Angel (Pterophyllum scalare), the Panda Angel is a popular variant due to their striking black and white pattern. Like all angels, they do best in a large, tall, planted aquarium with plenty of cover.
Pterophyllum scalare, most commonly referred to as angelfish or freshwater angelfish, is the most common species of Pterophyllum kept in captivity. It is native to the Amazon Basin in Peru, Colombia, and Brazil.
Because angelfish can grow up to 6 inches long, these fish should be kept in a tank no smaller than 20 gallons in capacity – the bigger the better.
