Ohayo (good morning) is a simple, subtle hojicha blended with cassia seed, and chicory root. Enjoy in the morning for an extra lift to start your day. Hojicha (roasted green tea) is a great source of antioxidants, which have been shown to lower the risk of heart disease. Cassia seed is used in traditional Chinese medicine for improving vision, while chicory root is used to support liver function.
A little goes a long way – just one and a half teaspoons steeped for one minute will give you one amazing cup of roasted green tea.
Ohayo is one of two Japanese tea blends we created in collaboration with Far Leaves Tea in Berkeley. The other blend, Oyasumi (good night) is an herbal shiso blend.
