NRS Quick Release SUP Leash

Staying connected to your SUP in moving water or rough conditions is smart paddling practice, but being able to disconnect instantly when a swim turns dangerous is equally important. The NRS Quick-Release SUP Leash is designed to do both.

The leash works with both rescue and recreational PFDs through a versatile attachment system. When used with a Zen or other rescue PFD, the carabiner connects directly through the D-ring on the quick-release belt for fast, reliable disengagement. For Type III life jackets, the shackle-connected carabiner hooks to an accessible attachment point on the PFD, and a sharp pull on the red ball disengages the shackle from the carabiner instantly, releasing you from the board while the leash stays attached. A stainless steel D-ring at the leash end lets you swap attachment hardware to suit your PFD setup.

Two in-line swivels keep the leash from tangling during paddling, and the coiled design stays out of your way on the board while stretching to a full 2.7 metres when needed. The leash attaches to inflatable SUPs via hook-and-loop closure through a D-ring, and a lanyard is included for connecting to the leash plug on rigid boards.
