They both like attending to their Christian faith, but as children, part of their work is play. Once in the castle, they sneaked into the secluded yard, where a colluding officer, with identity intrigue, helps them mount the wheel. They now know him as a maternal cousin of Professor Jane Blake, Debra’s mother, and David’s Auntie. Something which neither their mother nor grandmother, Mrs. Bowen who frequently visits the family in Edinburgh has told them.In the meantime, Debra has grudgingly accompanied David for his return shopping. His trip to London has been booked. Sniffer dogs and soldiers meticulously search Braid Burn Castle.Napoleon Bonaparte’s France is only across the English Channel.
