The MaiTai Mullet rig is a staple of Atlantic coast surf fishing. Every surf angler should have these rigs in their tackle box. They are tied with quality 50 pound monofilament, with a fluorescent float, a stout wire and a double hook at one end and a three way swivel and clip for your sinker at the other. Perfect for rigging whole, dead finger mullet, peanut bunker, spot, pinfish or other baits.
To use, remove the double hook. Take the wire and slide it into the mouth of the bait, down through the body, and out of the bait below the tail. Replace the double hook and cast out.
Perfect for bluefish, weakfish, sea trout, redfish and many more species.
NOT compliant with Atlantic striped bass regulations.
