The Damper Bracket is an OEM component for LG microwaves. Located inside the microwave cavity above the wave stirrer, this bracket holds the position of the damper assembly that helps distribute heat evenly during cooking. The bracket measures approximately 12” by 5”. Symptoms of a bad damper bracket can include: Hot or cold spots developing within the microwave cavity Looseness in the damper assembly fit Reduced heat circulation leading to uneven cooking Causes typically consist of cracking over long-term heat exposure.
