The beads are handmade by a community of single mums in Kenya out of a clay of mount Kenya, and the brass part is handmade out of brass by Kenyan artisans in the biggest slum area in Nairobi. Due to the handmade process of making the beads and the nature of glazing itself each piece is one of a kind and slightly different from the other spoons in the same color.
