This is a pair of Risom Lounge chairs, Model 654LC, designed by Jens Risom for Knoll in 1943. These are early examples, dating to C. 1946. The listed price includes the pair. Their classic design features a sculpted lacquered birch frame and has off-white strap webbing on the seat and back. Amazingly, their original Knoll labels are intact.
Each chair measures 27.5 inches long, 20 inches wide, and 30.25 inches high. The seat height is 16 inches. We have intentionally left the frames of these chairs in their original untouched state. The lacquered birch has taken on a caramelized hue and shows some wear from age and use. The webbing was just recently re-done professionally and looks fresh. Overall, these chairs are in very good to excellent vintage condition with some age apparent. Please see photos.
