Bacteria are indispensable for biological filtration of aquarium water - bacteria gradually convert toxic organic waste such as nitrite and ammonia into less dangerous substances. The concentrated Oase KickstartFilter Start Bacteria Tablets take action immediately, supporting healthy filter activity and reliably initiating the biological degradation of pollutants. This can reduce the cycling time of an aquarium to around a week - depending on water parameters. The tablets are suitable as a kickstart for the filter in newly set up aquariums and also for long-term care whenever the biological filter performance decreases.
