Life was going smoothly for Shawn until one day he awoke to a new paradigm and life would never be the same again. It was eventually discovered that he had a rare spinal disease called Transverse Myelitis and Lupus. For years Doctors told Shawn that due to the affects of Transverse Myelitis, he would spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. As Shawn began to live his life paralyzed from the chest down, a new diagnoses came that Shawn also had Lupus. Despite the doctors lack of hope, Shawn wasn't going to let his disabilities define who he was. He was going to overcome the impossible.
