Fritz ParaCleanse treats and controls of a wide variety of parasitic diseases, such as Velvet, Hexamita, gill & skin flukes, and fish lice. These diseases can often be present on new fish and may go unnoticed since they can be very small and may be hidden internally or under gill covers. Signs of infection, such as scratching, flicking, odd and frequent twitching, or heavy breathing should be investigated closely as treatment may be necessary.
Features
Disease treatment in a quarantine tank is always recommended when possible. ParaCleanse contains metronidazole and prazinquantel, which can negatively affect beneficial bacteria and some invertebrates such as ornamental worms. Always observe tank inhabitants carefully when treating, and be prepared to perform a water change and add fresh activated carbon if necessary.

Active Ingredients: Each packet contains 250 mg metronidazole and 75 mg praziquantel.
Directions
Use of a hospital tank is recommended. No water changes, pH or temperature adjustments necessary if readings are in ideal range. Remove all chemical filtration (carbon, ion exchange resins) before and during use. Turn off UV sterilizer if present during treatment. Aeration and water flow should be maintained. In marine aquariums turn off protein skimmer during treatment, resume use after completion of treatment. The active ingredients in Fritz ParaCleanse can negatively affect beneficial bacteria which remove ammonia and nitrite from water. Testing for ammonia and nitrite is recommended. Chemical ammonia removers such as Fritz Aquatics.
One complete course of treatment will take 5 days. Treat for the full course of treatment even if visible signs of infection or illness disappear.
