Inspired by the utilitarian aesthetic of construction lights and bullhorns (which you could use to cry “Mayday!”), Konstantin Grcic’s lamp is infused with functional sophistication. Its integrated hook—available in black or vibrant orange—lets you hang the luminous opaline cone anywhere, whether in a closet or as an industrial-inspired accent in a living room or office. The hook also incorporates a cord wrap to take up the slack and keep the design tidy. Made in Italy by Flos, a manufacturer which reproduces many of the iconic lighting designs in MoMA’s collection. Designed by Konstantin Grcic for FLOS.

  • 190" cord.
  • On-off switch on lamp body.
  • Requires one 6W A-19 2700K -450LM frosted bulb (not included).

Konstantin Grcic has been labeled a minimalist but he prefers to emphasize the elegant simplicity of his work. He began his career working for an antique furniture restorer and later apprenticed with a cabinetmaker, learning invaluable hands-on skills. He found his passion for furniture design when attending the Royal College of Art in London. His thoughtful design process and respect for the nature of materials and the realities of production have earned him a stellar portfolio of clients including Flos, Magis, Muji, and Vitra. “You have to think not only about the object you're designing, but everything else about it,” he says, characterizing his comprehensive view of design. Seven examples of Grcic’s furnishings are included in MoMA’s collection.
