HOW IT WORKS?
As pond water is pumped up through the Surge Filter the K+Media becomes a mechanical barrier that traps debris as it flows through. Waste particles remain trapped within the K+Media until they are dislodged and flushed away during the patented Air Clean Technology cleaning process.
Built-in 18 Watt UV
The built-in UV Clarifier helps to get rid of green water. It is easy to maintain and is simple to wire into the mains power supply
K+Media - Mechanical and Biological Filtration
Independently tested K+Media provides enhanced biological and mechanical filtration catching waste down to 1 micron.
Simple To Set-Up
Stepped hosetails are supplied for simple connection to flexible hose. Ball valves are also supplied for easy operation. And the clear hose provided allows you to see waste water flow when draining.
Easy To Install - Mounting Brackets Included
The compact design of the Surge Filter is perfect for when space is limited. Mounting brackets are included for secure installation.
HOW IT CLEANS?
Air Clean Technology uses open cell K+Media and air to clean the filter providing a low energy and cost-effective solution. With the pump off, ball valves closed, and waste valve open, air is drawn into the filter. As air and water mix inside the filter, the media starts to move chaotically, dislodging the trapped waste. Dirty water then exits the bottom of the filter via the waste line, leaving clean media.

K+Media never needs replacing and it improves over time, saving you money. The Surge Filter doesn’t need to be cleaned as often as sponge or foam filters, saving you time.
