Few canoe designs have stood the test of time like the Rangeley. Rooted in early 20th century boat-building tradition, this hull was shaped for big, wind-swept water -- and that heritage shows every time you push off into a headwind or navigate a choppy Canadian lake.

The wide 51-inch beam is the defining feature here. It gives the Rangeley 17 a stability platform that most modern canoes simply can't match, making it a serious option for hunting and fishing trips where you're loading up with gear, passengers, and the kind of conditions that keep other paddlers on shore. The square stern opens up motor use up to 8 HP, and the hull rows efficiently from the centre position for those who prefer to keep it quiet on the water.

Built in Quebec from T-Formex, Esquif's proprietary replacement for Royalex, this canoe is tough, low-maintenance, and built to handle whatever a Canadian season throws at it. Vinyl gunwales are practical and fieldworthy, with solid mounting points for rod holders and other accessories. Available in Camo and Olive, it blends into the landscape as naturally as it moves through it.
