Esquif Nitro OC-1 Canoe

Built around a double chined hull, the Nitro approaches whitewater canoe design from a different angle than most boats in its class. Those twin chines create a level of edge predictability that changes how a canoe behaves when you're side surfing or carving through a turn -- instead of hunting for the edge, you feel it clearly and transition between initial and secondary stability with confidence.

This is a canoe designed specifically around surfing performance. The aggressive rocker -- 5 inches at the bow and 6 inches at the stern -- combined with the deep centre volume and buoyant ends keeps the hull dry and responsive in the kind of dynamic, feature-focused paddling the Nitro was built for. At 11'6" and 51 lbs in T-Formex, it's a nimble and durable package that holds up to the repeated wave and hole sessions that serious river paddlers put their boats through.

Factory-installed outfitting and wood gunwales are available as upgrades for paddlers who want a more complete setup from the start. Note that the colour shown in product images may vary from the actual canoe.
