Echinodorus Reni is a well-known cultivar by Tomas Kaliebe that is popular due to its petite, small size. Also known as the Red Reni Sword plant, this plant is ideal for small to medium-sized aquariums.
Echinodorus Reni was created through the crossbreeding of Echinodorus Grosser Baer and Echinodorus Ozelot. In a larger aquarium, it can grow in groups to produce the unique 'plants street' effects seen in Dutch-style aquariums. The new leaves are reddish-brown to red ruby in color.
