Dear Friend

Dear Friend is a beautifully written children's book that helps kids learn from an early age the meaning of friendship, life's changes, and a positive way to view different paths.It is inspired by a true story-a time when two daughters, along with their mom, started talking about friends and the various stages of relationships. From their discussion, Mom could sense her daughters turning inward instead of truly expressing their emotions.Having always wanted to write a children's book, Mom found this the perfect opportunity. She let her daughters express their emotions, validated their feelings-no matter how big or small-and helped them write it all down. Then, just like that, Dear Friend was born. The best part was that Mom could tell her daughters were reaching within to express their feelings. This unlocked a door for open communication that led to a feeling of contentment for everyone. The creative and mindful illustrations in the book were inspired by the kid authors themselves! Through these pages, we can envision the thoughts and moments that children experience. They truly bring a smile to the reader.Saia, the main character, is of South Asian descent and surrounded by friends of all different cultures and backgrounds.
