This is an early DCM Chair, originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1946. The piece was produced by Herman Miller and retains its tag under the seat. This example was produced in 1954. The design features a bent-plywood seat and back with a walnut veneer face, and tubular steel legs.
We have period-correct boot glides for this chair on hand. If you'd like us to replace the existing glides at no additional cost with the period-correct examples, please let us know.
The chair measures 17.5 inches deep, 19.5 inches wide, and 29.5 inches high. It has a seat height of 18 inches. This piece does show wear consistent with age and use, including scuffs on the frame and surface blemishes to the seat and back. Overall, the chair remains in good vintage condition. Please see photos.
