Corydoras Venezuelanus is a peaceful, bottom-dwelling catfish ideal for planted and community aquariums. These small, armored fish reach 1–1.5 inches and thrive in groups of 4 or more, displaying natural schooling behavior. They prefer soft, slightly acidic water with temperatures between 72–78°F and benefit from a sandy substrate where they can forage naturally. Corydoras are excellent algae and detritus eaters, helping maintain a clean tank floor. Hardy and compatible with most non-aggressive species, they make a wonderful addition to established freshwater setups. Provide hiding spots among plants and driftwood for optimal comfort and reduced stress.
