The Colombo CO2 Indicator is an indispensable tool when using a CO2 system in planted aquariums. The Indicator monitors the CO2 concentration 24 hours a day, displaying the CO2 levels via a simple, easy to read colour code. This allows adjustment to the CO2 system to be made accordingly.
Why Should I Determine The CO2 Concentration?
The CO2 concentration in normal aquariums is relatively low, around 2mg/l. For optimal plant growth a higher CO2 concentration of 15-25mg/l is necessary. Hence, the addition of CO2 is required to stimulate plant growth, using a suitable Colombo CO2 system. CO2 concentrations above 25mg/l however can be dangerous for fish and must be avoided at all times.
