Copyright Marie Ann DeSantis, 2025My intent for sharing my memoir, is to reach those who feel their life has no purpose, have lost faith in God and may be thinking of quitting.In my memoir, I share personal stories of persevering through multiple difficult life-changing experiences.I began writing at age 22, as I navigated though my first heart-breaking divorce. I resumed writing through each of my divorces over a period of four decades.In January of 2025,after I finished writing the chapters related to my 4th marriage through divorce, I realized that if I was planning on publishing my memoir for the purpose of helping others, it was important that I include my childhood experiences.. I attended counseling in my mid 20s for my abusive childhood experiences although I had not written them.My prayers go out to those who are struggling though life because of experiencing emotional or physical abuse and those who have experienced (or know someone who has experienced) PTSD or a blocked memory.I pray that people who are struggling may feel encouraged to begin seeking for the life purpose God has intended for them, rather than the purpose that they feel they deserve, because of living life in the way they feel God expects from them.
