"Cir-Kit" brand 1009C 20-watt transformer, compatible with "Cir-Kit" brand dollhouse electrical components. The 1009C transformer is Cir-Kit's second-largest transformer. It powers up to 32 12-volt bulbs (not fixtures, bulbs), with no minimum load recommendation. I personally recommend lighting no fewer than 10 12-watt bulbs as a safeguard against rapid burnout. Transformer plugs into a standard wall outlet (USA). Screw-lug terminals on the back accept spade ends of all "Cir-Kit" brand 1008 series "Lead-in Wires". Transformer is circuit-breaker protected. That means if you have or develop a short in your electrical system, the transformer will click off rather than allow an overload to fry your fixtures, which is a good thing.
