Aquarium plant decor is a simple yet visually appealing combination of aquatic plant and recycled/reused aquarium-related accessories such as leftover aquarium pots, ceramics, filter foam mats, coco shells, driftwood and lava stone. By upcycling these pieces that are usually discarded, these unique pieces of planted aquarium decor have been created sustainably.

This 100% aquarium safe tank decor is covered in one of the most popular mosses, Christmas Moss! We recommend this decor for aquarists who are interested in creating hides or structural interest in the aquarium, terrarium, vivarium or paludarium. As long as sufficient humidity and access to water is readily available, this piece of aquarium decor is versatile and can be repurposed for a wide variety of planted crafts. Aquarium plant decor offers a quick and easy way to add live plants to a new planted aquarium or an existing setup. They also make great gifts for the beginner hobbyist!

Vesicularia Montagnei, more commonly known as Christmas Moss or X-mas Moss is arguably one of the most popular aquatic mosses commonly used in the planted aquarium hobby. Originating from Asia, Christmas Moss is closely related to Java Moss, another extremely popular aquatic moss, and is comparable in appearance with only slight differences in its fronds. Once established, Christmas Moss is a prolific grower and may require regular pruning to ensure it does not take over the aquarium. Manual removal is best, but if trimming is required, we recommend turning off filters and pumps to prevent the moss spreading to unwanted areas.
